Voting is now open for the Vital Bolton POTM award

October has seen Bolton improve slightly. A first league win of the season at home to Sheffield Wednesday was preceded by a trio of draws which has helped bridge the gap between ourselves and safety. Here are four of the bigger performers this month, as usual, vote for your favourite, and the winner will be declared on Friday morning.

Sammy Ameobi
After a few games under his belt, Ameobi has managed to finally get going after his injury. Three goals in four games and he has left-backs in the Championship sweating. His only quiet game this month was in the difficult weather conditions at the QPR match.

Mark Beevers
Beevers has disappointed this season but his displays against former club Sheffield Wednesday and up at Sunderland were probably the best two he has put in all season.

Gary Madine
Madine has done his job by and large, and ended his two-month personal goal drought with the second at Sunderland, having set up Ameobi for the opener that night.

David Wheater
Not quite at it against Sunderland, but otherwise a very consistent month from Wheater, who particularly impressed when he and Ben Alnwick kept us afloat at Fulham until mid-way through second half stoppage time.
