One Point from Thirty-Six

Not very good is it?

So Bolton did it at last. Picked up a point against a top six club that is, after failing in eleven previous attempts. It was just the solitary one though, out of a possible thirty-six as the Whites stuttered to a draw with Aston Villa.

Are the leading teams simply too good for the rest, or do the Wanderers have a major problem? The figures show few clubs garnered many points from this source, but only West Brom fared worse than Bolton. The stats are subject to minor changes with four weekends of football remaining, but they still show Gary Megson`s outfit in a bad light.

Of course all points count the same, whoever the opposition is, but turning over one of the big boys provides a boost in morale for both players and fans. Is seems that those occasions are a thing of the past for the Reebok faithful.
