A lot has (not) happened recently at Bolton. Have your say by emailing in a guest article.
As of right about now I’m officially editor of Vital Bolton. You’ve probably noticed me contributing articles here for the last month or so. As you know well Mr Ecky has been sick for a while and has handed the role over to me to ease the burden of maintaining this site and publishing regular content. He will still be writing articles here as a co-editor.
Anyway, we’re excited about this new partnership and we hope you are looking forward to the future of Vital Bolton more than that of Bolton Wanderers FC.
We’ve been denied player after player and hove lost game after game. Supporting Bolton has just been depressing recently. I say recently, but ever since we lost to Stoke in the Fa Cup Semi Finals at Wembley we’ve been poor. I know Dougie’s doing a good job controlling our finances etc… but he has resources. I like to think of players like Chungy and Mavies as ‘shares’ that he can cash in on. While I like them both, one of them has been poor for a while and the latter is always injured. He could easily get 5 million for the two of them. With that money he should be able to strengthen the squad in all areas required. I understand that he doesn’t necessarily want to do that but managing a team like Bollton is all about using your resources well. Look at Burnley for example- selling Charlie Austin for 4 million then getting promoted that very season.
I know past editors have said this- we are very very lucky to have such a loyal community here. On every post you guys comment (for the most part) insightful, thorough comments and bring up interesting arguments. That’s why I want to hear more from you. I don’t think the comments section really does some of your work justice.
It’s great hearing different views posted on this site, so if you’d like to send in a guest article email it to email@example.com
Obvious rules about what you can and cannot post apply and I look forward to seeing what you send in
