Pawel Olkowski has won the readers’ vote for September’s Vital Bolton Player of the Month award.
The Polish right-back, who is currently away on international duty with the Reprezentacja following his strong start to life in England, picked up 64% of the votes cast and is already a favourite amongst pretty much any Bolton fan you’d meet.
Joe Williams came second, the on-loan Everton midfielder bagging 20% of the poll after making his first appearances in September. Josh Magennis, who scored a consolation goal against QPR came third with 14% of votes, while David Wheater was nominated by us but only managed 2%, so that counts for one vote it seems. Good to know that David’s mum reads the site.
Olkowski and Magennis both made August’s shortlist too, which is a testament to their consistency so far this season. Olkowski also scored his first goal during September when he banged in the equaliser at Preston.
Just kidding. Here's the actual poll for POTM.
