Well that was weird. Player ratings following our disappointing loss at Loftus Road

Ben Amos -6
Amos will be kicking himself due to the manner in which he conceded the second goal but he made a few good stops and distribution was good.

Francesco Pisano -5
The Italian struggled, I thought, and really didn`t carry the attacking threat we`ve been hearing so so much about and was often beaten around the outside by Cery and Paul Konchesky. Thankfully it appears that his half time withdrawal was due to a tactical decision, not injury.

Dorian Dervite -5
I wasn`t impressed by the Frenchman upon his return from injury. He was sloppy on the ball and did not command in the air. You`re always asking questions of your defence when you concede four?

Prince-Desir Gouano -5.5
Fared a little better than Dervite in my opinion but still struggled for large parts of the game. Almost made a good tackle, but instead of winning the ball but instead Tjarron Cery got back up and scored so that counts for nowt.

Dean Moxey -5.5
While Moxey didn`t do anything all that bad, you`d expect him to try to get forwards and beat the opposition full back, especially Nedum Onouha. A little sloppy on the ball too.

Neil Danns -6
Fought very hard for his team and his persistence did pay off at times but he needs to start play well for 90 minutes not five minutes here and there.

Darren Pratley -6
Did quite well on his return, and it was good to have him back. He`s never afraid to put his foot in and get involved physically but he, too, struggled to make his mark on the game.

Mark Davies -5.5
He has the ability to be the best midfielder in the league and he showed glimpses of it. However, they were all too infrequent- i.e. one or two nice dribbles and passes do not suffice for a match`s worth of work.

Liam Feeney -7
Fizzled out a little in the second half, but Feeney was very good in the first half- he worked tirelessly and put in a lovely ball for Madine`s goal and his sharpness saw himself get on the scoresheet too.

Max Clayton -6
Clayton always works his socks off for the team but was disappointing in possession. A few sloppy passes saw him seemingly lose confidence and he didn`t look like he wanted to take players on- instead he just passed it and killed momentum. A few reasonable crosses and a decent penalty shout too, though.

Gary Madine -7.5
I thought Madine was excellent. He produced a lovely headed finish for his goal in the first half and one almost all of his aerial duels, too. He also worked very hard but I do think he should have the confidence to shoot more early.

Subs:

David Wheater -6
Came on as we changed formation at half time. One the majority of his headers and put in some good blocks.

Jay Spearing -5.5
Was surprisingly brought on when we were losing and struggled to make his mark on the game.

Wellington Silva -7
As soon as he came on he ran straight at QPR`s players and while he lost the ball, he tried again, and again. Then he tried again and he scored.
