Goran Popov could have been added for the weekend’s trip to the Den. But the Premier League have thrown some red tape round the deal
I was going to write this bit of news after the deal had been done- after it was suggested before the Burnley game, I thought it would have come off. However, the deal to bring left-back, Goran Popov to the Reebok from West Brom is off.
Popov- who is currently on loan for the season at the Hawthorns from Dynamo Kiev- would have been allowed to move to the north west had the deal occurred in the transfer window. And even though the deal is being conducted by two domestic clubs, because the negotiations are occurring during the loan window, the Premier League have deemed it an ‘international transfer’.
Is anything going to go in our favour?
This take-over talk in the comments, is there any truth in that? It would make sense and explain a lot…
