So, transfers. There has been no new moves on the Gollum front, and it is thought that he will line up for ‘Boro at the weekend. Indeed, in his Stoke pre match interview, St Owen has gone as far as to play the move down so much, it makes you think that it will never happen. Which may not be such a bad thing.
‘People recognise David Wheater might be available because of his contractual situation, and people have looked and realised that Bolton only have two centre halves, and they’ve put two and two together. The Carlos Vela situation has moved no further forward either. The Arse’s failure to put away the team that Gary Megson turned down, or not depending on who you believe, added onto their inability to put away AOB and Co. on Saturday means that Vela won’t be going anywhere until they are either through or out of both competitions. My thoughts on Vela are the same as they are on Wheater but the manager has mentioned his name more times than he has said ‘Barclays Premier League’ recently, so it seems that if Vela chooses us, he’s coming.
I do hear, however, that Valencia is a nice place of time this time of year. Or any time of year.
Speaking of the manager speaking, he has been looking forward to the Stoke game on Saturday. Confirming that Ivan Klasnic isn’t going to be available, he did say that both Gretar Steinsson and Stuart Holden are both ‘maybe’. Speaking in the Bolton News today, SuperJohnMcGinlay has said what I’ve been saying, that while Mark Davies is a good player, there is something about Holden that drags the best out of Muamba but without any detriment to his own game.
Says SuperJohn:
‘I like Mark Davies, who`s terrific with a ball at his feet, but he doesn`t have the same desire as Holden without it. Holden brings the best out of Fabrice Muamba too, and it`s no coincidence that he hasn`t been at his best these last few weeks.’

Jlloyd, it appears, has put his house up for sale, in readiness for his release come July. Sympathy is normally due to Jlloyd who did nothing wrong and still saw Paul Robinson brought in in his place by Megson. I say normally. However, looking at his house one can only assume that taste took a holiday when it was being given out to Mr Samuel and his missus. Things I particularly like are the leopard print armchairs, straight outta Huggy Bears wet dreams, the wallpaper in the bedroom that reminds me of an episode of Life on Mars and the swimming pool, complete with instructions. I do hope that Mrs Samuel will be baking bread and grinding coffee shortly before prospective buyers come calling if they want to meet that £2.35million valuation.
And the answer to the question ‘what the hell was he talking about in the article header’. Well, the photo should give it away, but TalkSport have called Eidur a former Chelsea and SPURS player. Chelsea I can understand. At Spurs he started just four games and hardly starred in any of them. Hopefully, he’ll do the same on Saturday.
