Results Needed To Match Performances

Bolton’s relegation concerns remain as what looked to be an upturn in fortunes back along saw another game without victory come and go.

Positively though, which was essential, defeat against Charlton was avoided as Kevin McNaughton levelled an earlier Yann Kermorgant Charlton goal to make sure that it was a game that ended 1-1, and not one-nil to the visitors.

Defeat at the Reebok had to be avoided at all costs, really a win was needed as Charlton have been more our of form that Bolton. This draw extended runs of just one win five and eight for Bolton and Charlton respectively…

Bolton will be four points above the relegation zone at Christmas.

Dougie Freedman believes that the performance was good enough, as most are, but the results are not mirroring these? So, it’s not that he wants better showings from his players he just wants the points to be won, and fast.

Especially with the home games.

After the draw he said: ‘It will turn and we’ve just got to keep believing and sticking to our high performance levels and hard work.

‘We’ve got to win more games at home. We don’t need better performances because I think we’ve been playing well but we’ve just got to start getting three points.

‘Games are running out but I feel that there is still time to do something here and put a run together.’

Would you agree with Freedman that the performances are good enough, it’s just a case of getting the results to match them?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
