Robinson’s Contract Cancelled

Andy Robinson’s permanent spell with Bolton has ended just three-weeks after he was signed on a free transfer by the club!

Robinson was brought in on loan from Southampton last season, turning out for Wanderers’ development squad, and after impressed Dougie Freedman enough he handed the 21-year-old a one-year contract this summer.

The ‘homesick’ midfielder now becomes a free agent again after his contract was cancelled, with the club officially confirming this as being the case.

An official statement read: ‘Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Andy Robinson has left the club.

‘The young midfielder recently joined from Southampton on a free transfer following a loan spell last season.

‘But after failing to settle in the area the midfielder’s contract has now been cancelled.’

Most strange!

Another that could also leave the club this summer, as he continues to be linked with an exit, is Mark Davies.

Queens Park Rangers are now said to be interested in the 26-year-old midfielder who was a reported player of interest to Swansea City last season with them having a £5m bid knocked back? I’m not so sure that this is accurate as if that was offered I would think Davies would be long gone!

Rumour has it that Harry Redknapp’s premier league side want him on a season-long loan before they buy him next summer if they stay up, which probably isn’t too appealing to Wanderers mind….

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
