West Bromwich Albion striker and Welsh international Hal Robson-Kanu has become only the fourth Premier League player to find the net and then gain a red card.

Robson-Kanu finds himself in the very select group following their victory over Burnley at Turf Moor last weekend. Having come on as a 63rd minute substitute in the game, eight minutes later he found the net and his goal did eventually win Tony Pulis’ side all three points on the day.

Within 12 minutes of coming off the bench though, he found himself walking down the tunnel having been shown a straight red card for a raised arm when jumping for the ball with Matt Lowton.

The first player to find themselves in the history books for this particular achievement since the rebrand in 1992 was David Lee of Chelsea, who is in top spot following his goal and red back in 1993.

It took over a decade before a similar incident occurred and that honour went to Bobby Zamora during his time at West Ham back in 2007.

Bolton Wanderers’ Ivan Klasnic was next up in 2010 and Robson-Kanu adds to the list seven years later.
