We have a look at Ipswich Town through the eyes of an Ipswich Town fan. Incredible idea.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s game at home to Ipswich, we spoke to the guys behind Ipswich site ‘The Tractor Boys’ to get to know the side making the long, long trip from Suffolk.

Again, you’re well in the hunt for a playoff spot. What are your thoughts on your season so far?

One point outside the play off places with Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County still to play. Our last two wins against Huddersfield and Forest silenced a large proportion of the fans who thought that with Ryan Fraser out injured, our season was over. It’s still all to play for, and should go down to the wire again.

How will you likely play on Tuesday night, in terms of tactics?

Murphy missed out on Saturday against Forest with a calf strain, but this meant Freddie Sears returned to his favoured central role. Ben Pringle and Kevin Foley (recent additions) came into the side.

We played 4-4-1-1 with Bru and Pringle out wide, Kevin Foley pairing Luke Hyam in central midfield, with Pitman playing off Freddie Sears. 53% of our play came down the right hand side, and without Murphy we kept the ball on the floor, playing more short passes and less long balls than Forest.

However much I`d like to keep the same line-up, I can see Mick replacing Pitman with Murphy if he is fit (considering we are playing away). At the back, Christophe Berra has made it into several team of the week squads and Bartosz Bialkowski made three crucial saves, extending his run of great form since replacing Dean Gerken.

Is there an Ipswich player in particular we should look out for?

Freddie Sears, when he plays centrally is often unplayable! Kevin Foley also had a very good game, and Ben Pringle has two goals in his two appearances for Ipswich.

We had Giles Coke for a short and not very memorable loan spell last season? I see he’s only played nine games this season for you – what bave you made of him when he has played?

Sometimes named on the bench, more of a squad back-up.

Like us – you were in court the other week over a winding up petition? What was that all about?

It was a matter already resolved, it was relating to debt which was paid before Christmas.

Prediction for tomorrow night? Score?

You are coming in on the back of three straight defeats in the league. I`ve seen all season that you`ve lacked quality in the final third – I think Ipswich should win this 2-1.
