Ahead of Saturday’s home game with Port Vale, we get a fan of their’s to talk about the team.

Bolton take on Port Vale, going well themselves, on Saturday as Wanderers look to close the gap on Scunthorpe at the top. We spoke to Valiants fan Tom who gives us the lowdown on the weekend’s opponents.

You’re currently seventh in the league, having appointed Bruno Ribeiro as manager in the summer, and signing a number of Dutch and Portuguese players. Are you happy with how things are going?

Lying seventh in the league is good for a club who were tipped to struggle at the start of the season. I think our foreign legion is acclimatising well to life in England, some of their performances have been top drawer.

Yes it was a massive gamble, but it has paid off big time.

What should we expect tactically on Saturday

Tactically I’d say we will play a 4-4-1-1 formation with the lone striker as that is what our striker is most comfortable with.

Which player should we watch out for most of all?

The player you should look out for is Jerome Thomas, formerly of Crystal Palace and West Brom, his work rate and creativity is something which has been key to our season.

And finally, what’s your score prediction?

My score prediction is a 1-1 draw, I think it’ll be a quite even game.
