Scouting Report: Swindon

Using the internet, we got a Swindon fan to help us look ahead to Saturday’s clash.

Ahead of Saturday’s trip to the County Ground we spoke to Swindon fan Ben Nicholls, who tells us what to expect on Saturday and who from.

You’re 20th in the league at the moment, are you where you expected to be or should that be seen as underachieving?

With the players we’ve got we’re underachieving. There is very little strength in depth in the side. At full strength we can just about beat anyone.

You take out five or six players which has happened and we look short. We keep the ball and move it about well. However overplaying at the back and toothless finishing up front is the reason we are where we are.

What sort of style of play should we expect from you on Saturday?

Slow steady build up. We play total football from the back. When it works well it’s brilliant. When it doesn’t it looks horrid.

Who are the Swindon players to watch out for?

A few. John Goddard is a very skillful player, full of tricks, who is starting to find his feet. Recent signing from Watford Sean Murray looks dangerous, and striker John Obika.

And finally, give us your score prediction.

Game can go either way so I’m going for 1-1.
