Bolton Wanderers have made two signings already this summer, but there’s a little of unrest that we’ve yet to make any further acquisitions. A couple of names have surfaced, firstly Hope Akpan, and what could be the latest attempt to make our friends over in Bradford seethe over the Wanderers yet again.

Charlie Wyke’s name has been bandied around as Phil Parkinson looks for a striker. Wyke scored 15 league goals for the Bantams last season. A decent rate in League One but I’d for one wouldn’t be absolutely sure he would get a decent number in the Championship – it is a huge step up. It would also cost a transfer fee. That is one more goal than Danny Grham though, another previous target.

So, that would be a manager, backroom staff, several players, and even a member of the media team all taken from Bradford in the last two years. It begs the question whether we should just buy Bradford City in its entirety, take any promising young kids, tarmac the whole area, and just use the place as a money-spinning car park or something.

  • You wouldn’t be abke to buy our club on the gates you get at Bolton…..our reserve team get bigger crowds Lol lol lol

    • I didn’t realise that your reserve team got 2000 less fans than the 1st team on average. Still, must be a better watch than seeing the first team finish mid table and getting all their assets taken from a club with no money. Who still manage to get promoted and then stay up. Funny that!
