Sometimes Best To Stick Not Always Twist

It’s a day an age in football when time isn’t something that many are given much of.

Dougie Freedman has been under some intense pressure as boss of Bolton for much of this season, he’s managed to keep his job though and club captain Zat Knight believes that the decision to keep faith with him was the right one.

Results tend to suggest that’s true.

Knight told BBC Radio Manchester: A few months ago a few managers got sacked, but the chairman and the board have stuck with him. He puts 11 players on the pitch and sometimes I feel we’ve let him down.

‘Over the past couple of months, we’ve been playing really well.

‘This result has been coming. The fans are starting to see a young manager with younger players playing a certain way and getting results in a certain fashion.’

Bolton have taken 10-points from the past 12-points on offer, including successive 4-0 and 5-1 wins over rivals Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United to ease the relegation worries.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
