Stats: Bolton Come From Two Down At Preston

Bolton Wanderers remain unbeaten in the Championship after a 2-2 draw at Preston North End. It’s the first time Wanderers have managed to overturn a two-goal deficit since they came back at Valley Parade against Bradford in February 2017.

Callum Robinson had opened the scoring for North End after the ball was given away in midfield, before Alan Browne’s goal meant we fell further behind. We then turned things around, with Sammy Ameobi’s effort wrong-footing Declan Rudd, before Pawel Olkowski, with the aid of the woodwork, scored his first goal for us to equalise.

We did fall out of the playoffs with that result (yes, it is daft to care about that in September) but it’s 11 points from six games, which represents a decent start to the season. QPR are next, once the international break is done, a game which we really should be looking to win.

Joe Williams made his debut for us, and received a yellow card after the final whistle, after a clash with Ben Pearson, the latter being red-carded.
