  • Important win today. Not big on entertainment but we needed the result. Without taking away from LeFondre’s two great finishes the highlight if the game for me was a really encouraging debut from Tom Walker. Another promising prospect I think, who I’m sure will figure in Lennon’s close season redevelopment. And unusually, the referee wasn’t too bad. The foul on Cravies probably should have been a red card but then again Danns could easily have walked in the first half. I’m not sure the first booking was warranted but the second identical challenge he made minutes later was suicidal and he was very lucky to stay on. More poor decision making. Anyway, all in all another tired step towards safety and respectability.

  • quietly relieved this victory should ensure our survival even if we continue to struggle in the remaining games. This season has been a reality check for everyone, we remain desperately short of quality players and our future would appear to be reliant on the scouting system having the means to identify the ‘unknown’ lads out there who have the ability and potential to blossom, while getting these same players signed up to the club rather than allow other clubs beat us to the signatures. If clubs like Bournemouth can succeed, as did Southampton before them, we have to follow the same policy. Days when we could attract established players with the offer of big contracts have long gone, its back to basics at root level and such could take 5 years plus before it reaps success.

  • we have been washed over with a silent stupor of late, nice to see Skopelos Chris, Robmoss, moonpig, Nicky, El Cynico, Muur, stay with it, keep in there lads your comments and observations are read and appreciated

  • Just a shame there isn’t so much to talk about at the moment. We’re having to sit through a demonstration of how injured the squad is every week. It would be nice to have a fully fit squad for the manager to choose from.
