Dougie Freedman had made no secret of his desire to tie Liam Trotter down to a permanent contract with Bolton following his loan spell with the club.

Well his wish has been granted with confirmation of a permanent contract being signed coming today.

The midfielder has signed a three-year contract with Bolton.

Once his contract with Millwall officially expires on June 30th he will become a Bolton player, becoming the second to commit his future to the club after a loan spell, which saw him make 16 appearances.

Are you happy with this signing?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
