Bolton’s pre-season continued with a first game in England, since the return from the Scandinavian trip, against Macclesfield Town on Friday night.
This ended in a 1-1 draw at Moss Rose.
Dougie Freedman played what was essentially a youthful Wanderers side, with plenty of development players on display, but some of these players have been (or could be this season) first-team players for him.
Wanderers found themselves one-nil down at the break after Chris Holroyd scored and with defeat looking likely Zach Clough popped up to score an equaliser with nine-minutes to play.
Bolton: Fitzsimons, Riley (Sellars 80), Dervite, Bolger, Threlkeld, Vela, Medo (White 77), Pratley (Clough 64), Iliev (Youngs, 46), Lester (Bastos 64), C Davies (Wilkinson 77)
Subs: Campbell, Woodland, Holding, Maher, Knight, Walker, Hughes, Mills, Moxey, Feeney, Spearing, Beckford
Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.
If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.
Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
