We Can Go On A Run Here

|

You can watch highlights of our 2-1 win over Fleetwood here.

In a week and a half things have kicked on massively in terms of results, with those three consecutive wins, we’re up to minus two points in the league, and if we had no points deductions, would have had a gap over Southend and not too far away from the likes of AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons.

Also, it’s worth noting our upcoming league fixtures – now managerless Milton Keynes (21st) are the next club to come here, before we play Accrington (19th), Wimbledon (20th), followed by on paper a touch away game at Peterborough, but then Southend (22nd). Basically, all of the bottom five that aren’t us. Given the way we’re improving, we’re arguably now in a weird position where there could be an expectation of us going on a run.

As for yesterday’s game, you’re not getting any meaningful analysis here. I wasn’t there and the grifters at iFollow couldn’t even get their audio stream working until the second half. The ruthlessness though to capitalise on the mistake for Daryl Murphy to score the opening goal was pleasing to see, for all the positive things said about the win the stats would point to us being simply more effective when we had less of the ball and the fewer chances. That isn’t a bad thing though.
