Worth The Wait

Zat Knight was among the goalscorers at the weekend for Bolton with his goal being the first goal he’d scored in over three-years.

When made aware of the fact he had gone so long between goals he was surprised and admitted that more goals are something that he’d like more of but keeping cleansheets is the priority with him left a little disappointed by the 5-1 win at Leeds United due to the failure to achieve one.

Playing, first and foremost, is what the club captain wants and is happy to be back in Dougie Freedman’s side as he thought he was unlucky to have dropped out of it.

He told the Bolton News: ‘I’m just happy to be in the team.

‘I felt I dropped out of it a bit unfairly recently. But I’m part of a squad and when I get in I’m the club captain and I’ve got to keep that spirit up.’

Knight has been subjected to quite a level of criticism during his time at the Reebok.

Much of which he openly admitted he didn’t feel he deserved and wasn’t backwards in coming forwards about this and some of it he would be right about.

Ending the season strongly is his aim now, and if the last two games are anything to go but Bolton could well do that?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
