Gary Madine has re-signed for Bolton Wanderers.
Madine turned around a struggling start when he first joined Bolton in 2015. After our relegation to League One and the appointment of Phil Parkinson as manager, he became the focal point of the team, registering double figures in the 2016-17 promotion winning season, then adding another ten last season before being sold to Cardiff.
The target man has struggled for first-team football this season with the Bluebirds having spent big on their return to the Premier League, and his loan return will be a boost for Wanderers as they hope to avoid relegation from the Championship, having narrowly done so last season.
It will also soften the blow of losing Josh Vela, who completed a move to Derby last week for an undisclosed fee.
