Big Gaz takes the December Vital Bolton award
In news that will surprise absolutely nobody, readers of Vital Bolton have voted Gary Madine to be December Player of the Month, almost unanimously.
Madine has netted four times in the final month of 2017, including the winner at Sheffield United, and was duly awarded 86% of the votes. Madine, pretty much an ever-present on the Player of the Month shortlists this season, has been linked with a move away in the transfer window, with Cardiff and Sunderland mentioned.
Hopefully, he will be on a few more of our shortlists between now and the end of the season.
Ben Alnwick and Darren Pratley both took 5% of the vote, while the remaining 4% went to Mark Beevers.
