Stats As Bolton Grind Out Point At Ipswich

|

Here are the stats from Saturday’s goalless draw down at Ipswich Town.

It was a game where Bolton had to a lot of defensive work, after the straight red card for Marc Wilson in the first half. Wanderers did this well, reducing the game to an affair which the neutral wouldn’t have liked, Ipswich managing both shots on target that did materialise. Ipswich had nine attempts to seven, committed more fouls than us as well, while both bookings were Ipswich players – Trevor Chalobah and his substitute Tayo Edun.

Bolton started with a 4-1-4-1 formation, much changed in personnel from Wednesday’s defeat at Middlesbrough. Ipswich played a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The draw was Bolton’s second away from home this season, taking our away points haul up to eight. Last season it took us until 30th December to reach eight points away from home, when we beat Sheffield United. Phil Parkinson however, remains without a win in the month of September as Bolton Wanderers manager.
