Thanks to all who have supported me throughout my time here

Dear readers of Vital Bolton. It is with great regret that I am announcing my departure from Vital Bolton. I shall continue to be the editor here for the remainder of this month.

I have been an avid follower of this site for around four years, and loved reading the works of Quentin X, AlParklar and Mr Ecky and I do hope that you enjoyed my ramblings.

As many of my predecessors will tell you, writing regularly on a site like this, while also running the Twitter feed and other general admin is not easy. And unfortunately, I feel as though I am no longer able to do this.

It has been a dream of mine to be able to write for a community who constantly offer their opinions, and create fascinating debates in the comments section.

I am not oblivious to the fact that over time some commenters will come and go, and I can wholeheartedly put my hand up and apologise that if this site didn’t offer the type of content which satisfied such debates. I never went into this wanting to write in a manner which was not my own and I hope that some of you appreciated what I have done here for what it is.

Looking back on my relatively short time as editor, I can safely say that I have no regrets about doing anything here. I have loved every second of it- from remembering at 11 o’clock that I need to publish an article to my computer crashing and losing loads of articles

Since Vital’s launch in 2005, the network has grown tremendously and I can safely say that I am very proud to have been a tiny tiny part of this, having been part of the commenting community for a bit and getting the oppourtunity to write for such a wonderful website.

In my (let’s say) 9 months ‘at the helm’ we’ve seen two managers, one Owen Garvan, one stadium rename and the vast majority of a season.

It has been an absolute honour to report it for you. The feedback I received after the Wanderers Project really did touch my heart, and I thank you for that.

I firmly believe that under Neil Lennon, we are a club on the up. Lennon’s no-nonsense approach is just what we needed in a time of despair at the foot of the table and his winning mentality will bring much frustration, tears, blood and I believe success.

I shall continue to write as per normal for the rest of the month and in May, someone will takeover and I will pass on the baton. Until then, I’ll be persuing some more issues, news etc… and I believe that there is some exciting stuff on the way!

Until then. Stay tuned!
