Alonso Returns…To England Anyway

Would many be opposed to Marco Alonso returning to Bolton? From the limited I saw of him I thought he would ok, so would imagine most wouldn’t be against this.

Then again, I don’t know do I and I’m not sure what the parting of the ways was like when he left the Reebok Stadium to sign for Fiorentina last summer?

He might not be back at the Reebok, but he is back in England and will be playing in the Premier League for Sunderland during the second half of the season having agreed to join them on loan from the Italian outfit until the end of the season.

Alonso fell just short of making 50 appearances for Bolton, ending up making 46 in the end and he scored five goals in his three-year spell.

Technically it’s possible that he could return to the Reebok this season, should both Sunderland and Bolton win their FA Cup third round ties in early January and the teams were drawn to face each other in a later round!

Obviously this isn’t news that impacts directly on Bolton now, but it was still something I thought was worth sharing….

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
