It’s been a hat-trick of Christmas postponements as Bolton’s match at Burton on Wednesday has also been called off.
The squad was due back in training today after a closure of the training ground, but Wanderers are claiming there still aren’t enough players through COVID and injuries.
It now means four matches will have been rescheduled this season – Cambridge which was postponed due to the FA Cup has a date, but now games against Wycombe, Morecambe and Burton will all have to be fit in somewhere, which isn’t ideal.
Our last game of any description was on the 11th December, when we lost to Accrington. We are scheduled to play Rotherham on New Year’s Day but that’ll probably get canned too given the way things are going…
