Bolton Wanderers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Mark Beevers in the two nil victory over Shrewsbury Town at the weekend at the Greenhous Meadow was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Beevers was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Beevers maintained his remarkable goalscoring form as Bolton overcame Shrewsbury Town 2-0, closing the gap to table-topping Sheffield United to just four points. The centre-back scored his fourth goal in five matches and helped the Trotters to a clean sheet, once again showing the form that earned him a spot in the Football Manager? Team of the Season.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Beevers for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Dean Lyness (Blackpool), Richard Duffy (Notts County), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Mark Beevers (Bolton Wanderers), Matt Dolan (Yeovil Town), Callum Camps (Rochdale), Josh Payne (Crawley Town), George Cooper (Crewe Alexandra), Ivan Toney (Scunthorpe United), John Akinde (Barnet), Chris Porter).

Manager – Luke Williams (Swindon Town).
