Bolton Have A Good Chance Of Beating Wycombe Tomorrow

|

Bolton take on Wycombe tomorrow – we’re back on home soil we fare better than on the road – but our opponents are doing very well this season.

Both sides will also likely have a common opponent in the weather. Storm Dennis (brace yourselves for the Politic headlines) is set to bring a lot of rain on Saturday afternoon and quite a bit of wind too, conditions that might not be conducive to a quality game. Wycombe have been struggling on the road recently so despite their strong league position, we could do with taking advantage here.

Team news

Dennis Politic should be back after missing midweek due to illness, while Toto Nsiala has recovered from concussion. Ronan Darcy’s foot injury will keep him out, while Jack Hobbs won’t be available after getting injured (again) on Tuesday. Anthony Georgiou probably isn’t ready yet, while there’s no news on Kean Bryan after he came off at Doncaster.

Facts and stats

This will be Bolton’s first ever home meeting with Wycombe. The reverse fixture was the only previous game we’ve ever played against these Wanderers, when we lost 2-0 at Adams Park on the opening day of the season.

Bolton have a win and a draw in their last five games, with a win, a draw and a loss in their last three at home. Wycombe have two wins and three defeats in their last five games.

Wycombe haven’t scored an away goal since November, at Tranmere.

Prediction

Bolton win – 2-0.
