The draw for the third round of the league cup was made on Wednesday night, so we now know who we will face next up.
Bolton will take on Chelsea for a place in the fourth round of this season’s league cup.
Wanderers’ reward, if you can call it that, for the second round extra time win over Crewe Alexandra is this away tie in the week beginning 22nd September.
It’s been hard work just to get to this stage and, lets face it, if Wanderers are going to have a chance of going any further Dougie Freedman is going to have to see his side at their very, very best at Stamford Bridge to have any chance.
Negative? Maybe, but the phrase ‘concentrating on the league’ springs to mind….
