Bolton had a fairly quiet Transfer Deadline Day, but managed to seal the arrival of Craig Noone on a two-year-deal.

Bar any late shock deals, Noone is the only incoming, along with nobody leaving the club on the final day before the window shuts for four months.

The 29 year old ends a five year spell at Cardiff City, where he won promotion from the Championship in 2013, playing over 150 league games and scoring 16 goals. Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock had made it clear weeks ago he was happy to let Noone leave, but he does seem a player who can still play at this level, having played 34 games last term.

He is a good crosser of the ball. and can dribble, but he may have lost a touch of the pace he had a few years ago. Still, he can play on either flank and adds a bit more quality to what we have.

Elsewhere, Chris Taylor was the player most would expected to have left, but nobody came in for him in the end. Names linked with moves to the Macron included a potential loan return for Lee Chung-yong, but an enquiry was turned down. Josh Morris and Jay Fulton were also linked, but neither deal looked to get off the ground.

One positive piece of news is the fact that the likes of Josh Vela and Mark Beevers never even looked at risk of leaving, which would have been a blow.

The free agent period lasts until November, so if we can get out of the embargo, that could open the door to signing some players without a club. Like Jay Spearing for example.
