Gary Cahill, Andy O`Brien and Gavin McCann all earned places in the Team of the Week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League, after helping Bolton Wanderers register a massive win last weekend.

McCann scored the only goal and Cahill and O`Brien were solid at the back as the Trotters moved out of the bottom three with a vital 1-0 victory at Middlesbrough – all three earning their highest match scores of the season.

Cahill – the top-scoring defender in the latest index – made one clearance, two interceptions, 13 passes and five dribbles in his 36-point tally, O`Brien made two clearances, one interception, one block and 10 passes to collect 25 points and McCann`s 31-point haul was helped by two tackles won and three passes.

El-Hadji Diouf is the only Bolton player in the top 100, the Senegal striker sitting 96th with 289 points.

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
