Afternoon everyone. Quentin isn`t feeling too good today, so I have stepped in as super-sub for the first time in a while. I`m hoping to be a bit more positive than the substitutions that cost us a point on Saturday.

You find me in high spirits after my NFL team, The New York Giants, won the Superbowl last evening. I must now move my entire attention away from gridiron and back onto ye olde association football, and with my main distraction from our defeats on hold until September, I`m probably about to become a little worried about our current predicament.

I haven`t been for the last few weeks. What was billed to be a pointless month actually turned out to be the one where our hard work finally came to fruition, with better-than-expected results against Everton, Liverpool and (can I sneak this one into January for my point?) Arsenal. And yet despite four weeks of slowly rising confidence, we were back to square one against a Norwich team I was certain would already be back down to Earth (19th) by this time of the season.

Despite being back in the bottom three, I think we`ve got a fantastic chance of getting enough points to stay up in our last fourteen games, as long as we see Saturday`s result as a one-off; the aftershock of a horrendous 2011. We should be able to get at least something from our remaining matches, apart from City, Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle. I think it will be a lot clearer whether we have a chance to survive by the end of a March containing three six-pointers in the space of four games. A win at home this weekend against Wigan is surely vital.

In other news, pictures have been flying around the BWFC Twitterverse of a young South Korean man, dressed in training gear and standing independently on grass. I don`t know how far along Chungy`s rehabilitation is, but surely this is great news. He was originally scheduled to be back for the last month of the season, and even if he can only play a bit-part in a few games, his quality could see him make a great impact at the ‘business end` of our Premier League campaign.

Have a good week, Trotters.
