Bryan The Only New Face For Bolton’s Clash With Tranmere

|

Bolton face Tranmere tomorrow – while we might be down (do you think we’ve still got a chance, really?) there is a chance to get three points in a what is a game between two sets of fans who don’t really like each other, and we’ve got a chance to harm their survival chances.

Team news

Wanderers will largely be with the same squad that was available for Tuesday night’s drab draw against Bristol Rovers. Kean Bryan will be available after signing yesterday. At the time of writing this preview, nobody has joined on deadline day, therefore anyone who did (if you’re reading this later on – how is Brexit by the way?) wouldn’t be eligible as they needed to be registered by noon today.

Stats and facts

Bolton lost the reverse fixture back in August 5-0, a game that the club tried to get postponed due to player welfare concerns. This is our first home game against that lot since an FA Cup third round replay defeat in 2004, The last time we hosted them in a league game was in our last Division 1 promotion season in Janusry 2001, when Bo Hansen’s goal and Clint Hill’s own goal gave us a 2-0 win.

Both sides are winless in each of their last five league games, we have Tuesday night’s draw as our sole point in that run, Tranmere have a couple of draws.

Prediction

I’ll go for a draw. 1-1.
