Millwall have played the loan system perfectly
It`s amazing isn`t it? We spend weeks moaning about whom we have or haven`t signed on loan and now, many Wanderers` supporters will start fretting at the possibility, one of those loaned-in boys will be snatched from us.
Millwall boss, Steve Lomas has triggered the clause in Liam Feeney`s contract, meaning the speedster will go back to his parent-club on October 26th, unless a permanent deal can be struck between the Whites` and the winger.
With only 3 games under Feeney`s belt for Bolton and only 270 minutes of playing time for Dougie to evaluate the player`s performances, a permanent deal will have to be rushed through.
I get the feeling, though; this isn`t Dougie`s style to doing business.
What would you do? Would you try to strike a deal for the player whose contract runs out in the summer? Or would you let him go back and try snare him for free? With chances of promotion looking next to nil, what`s the rush to sign Liam? Or is it more than that? Is it the fact that, Feeney excites the crowd and gets bums on seats?
