Anthony Hart reports on some breaking news

Counsellors in the West Midlands are currently reporting another spike in business, with patients reporting trauma related to a man only known as ‘McGinlay’.

Dr Wendy Williamson said, ‘It’s a phenonemon which semed to start in the nineties. We had loads of people coming into clinics around Wolverhampton. and they were all complaing about some Scottish man who ‘terrorised’ them. Since then it’s calmed down, but twice a year it flares up again. This week has been busy.’

Mention of the mere word ‘McGinlay’ still results in panic in parts of the Black Country. ‘Arrrgh. I see him waving, scoring. Not again. No. Mam!’ said David, speaking through an interpreter.

Steve’s memories seem still crystal clear. ‘Every time I just see David Kelly on the floor. I still think he’s thrown a punch but everyone sane tells me otherwise.’

Lee is another victim, ‘I just wish I could get over it, but I ust get angry again. It’s been 20 years, maybe I just need to accept Steve Bull wasn’t that good.’

The problem seems largely localised to Wolverhampton though. ‘I’ve never heard of him to be honest,’ claimed Marvin, from Colchester.
