We all have memories

Sorry for the lack of recent articles- there’s a lot that I’ve been working on for you which I hope to be able to show you soon

While in recent weeks, things have looked to have turned for the better for Bolton, we’re still very much worse off than we were during the days of Sam Allardyce.

You’re all probably aware that Bolton Wanderers legend, Eidur Gudjohnsen is back at Bolton, training with the club until January to keep fit.

The former Iceland international became a favourite at The Reebok during his two seasons before earning himself moves to Chelsea and Barcelona.

He operated in as a striker or attacking midfielder and impressed fans with his ability on the ball.

Many of you will have amazing memories of Eidur Gudjohnsen, maybe it was one of his goals? Maybe you met him? Despite only being at Bolton for a short length of time, he managed to really endear himself to the Whites faithful and I think it would be fair to classify himself as a cult hero?

It’s amazing how players with so little exposure such as Gudjohnsen, Ricardo Gardner and Jussi Jaaskelainen had been plucked from obscurity and managed to thrive in the best league in the world. Neil Lennon’s quite good at finding hidden gems too, so that’s maybe something we can look forward to.

THE QUESTION:Today I want to ask you whether or not we hold on too heavily to these nostalgic memories. Eidur’s training with us at the moment and there is a possibility of him being offered a contract. Do you think we should actually sign him again? The overwhelming reaction on Twitter etc… from Bolton fans is that they would be more than happy to see him return. However, I wonder whether we’re just holding on to these memories to take us to better times since recent times have been so rough. From watching his training videos, he has looked a little off the pace and I was actually disappointed by his technical ability- but maybe he’s just a little rusty at the moment.

Anyway, what do you think. Leave your thoughts below, please.
