Davies Premier League Bound

Not for the first time Mark Davies is being linked with a return to the premier league with a Bolton exit this summer reported.

Bolton, well documented as it is, need to reduce the club debt. The way to do that is get more of the ‘high earners’ off the wage bill this summer, which will happen with some of those out of contract.

Those under contract might need to be sold, especially them ore ‘sellable assets’, which Davies is regarded as being.

Leicester City played down an interest in the 26-year-old but reports in the Daily Mail this weekend have claimed that Swansea City, now assured of another season in the top flight, are willing to pay £3m for the midfielder.

Another player, and a high earner, that Bolton will look to offload again next season is Marvin Sordell. The Mail also said that the striker, currently on a season long loan with Charlton Athletic, will be loaned to Brentford next season on a similar deal with both clubs ‘splitting the player’s wages’.

Will Davies, and Sordell, both be leaving the Reebok Stadium, or Macron Stadium as it will then be, this summer?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
