It could be five as well, with Tom Thorpe possibly coming in from Rotherham. But it needs ratification from the League first

There is also still a chance of Tom Thorpe coming and on the other end Tom Walker heading to Bury or Leyton Orient.
18:35 The three names the club are fairly certain on are Ben Alnwick,Keshi Anderson and James Henry
Sorry for the lack of updates everyone but i’ve got some big transfer updates coming up!
In other crazy news, former Bolton left back Marcos Alonso has joined Premier League Chelsea for an unbelievable £23 Million. Considering we bought him for just £1.5 Million! The transfer market these days…
News coming into us that Andy Giddings a Sports Editor at the BBC in Shefield that there is no truth in Gary Madine leaving to Rotherham. However the Tom Thorpe deal is still on
Another rumour coming in that Bolton are linked to former Ipswich winger Cameron Stewart who was released in the summer. We don’t know if there is any truth in the rumour but it’s another good name on Wanderers list

BREAKING NEWS Reports coming in that Rotherham from the Championship are in talks with Bolton striker Gary Madine with Tom Thorpe coming the other way in ‘swap deal’. Lets just say I was not expecting that!
In other news , Adam Le Fondre has joined local rivals Wigan Athletic in the Championship. Im sure that will not go down great with the Bolton faithful
Hello and Welcome, Its been a very quiet afternoon but we are hopefull that a deal(s) can go through

Christ, it’s quieter than a Checkatrade Trophy crowd. No news on ingoings. Or outgoings for that matter. Meanwhile I found out ex-cricketer Dominic Cork is the Sky reporter at Stoke. Wonder where he did his journalism degree?

One player who isn’t joining us is Mustapha Carayol. He probably wasn’t anyway. He was a name linked with us throughout the summer, but he has been snapped up by Nottingham Forest

What did Phil Parkinson say about today? He was speaking to the club’s media arm last night, “I hope so. We need to do some business because we’re short on numbers and I want to look at that squad on Thursday when I write that squad up on the board in the office and think ‘yes, we’re stronger.’ Ken is doing everything he can to help with the situation and I really do hope we get a few players in.”

Maybe get the embargo lifted, Kenneth?

Another name seen is Ian Lawlor of Manchester City. I’m not having that there’s a person under the age of 45 called Ian Lawlor. Not having it.

Some non transfer news. Remember the Bury away game. Then how it got moved to a lunchtime kickoff. It’s now a Monday night game. Now I’m not one of these who believe a Saturday 3pm kickoff is necessarily sacred. Sometimes later kickoffs and Sunday games work for me quite well. But seriously, someone at Sky Sports needs a slap regarding that.

The Bolton News live blog (think like this but with more professionalism) is reporting us and Charlton want James Henry. Henry was linked with us during the Dougie Freedman era. He can play in the right or centre of midfield, and at right back. He also scored an injury time equaliser for Wolves against us two seasons ago. The swine.

A goalkeeeper? We might have one. ‘Unhappy’ Peterborough goalkeeper Ben Alnwick handed in a transfer request a few days ago and HITC (whoever they are?) are saying the Macron could be his next destination. He’s 28 and has experience through the leagues so would be strong competition for Mark Howard

What do Vital Peterborough say about him? “Highly regarded by the club! Mixed reaction by fans. We’re not fans of him though. Decent League 1 keeper.”

A little bit of a mini scouting report on Keshi Anderson from our friends at Vital Palace via Twitter: “Broke his leg during a loan with Doncaster last season but now back to fitness. Did well in League 1 last season with Donny.”

He only played seven games but scored three goals in a relegated side. Also has better than a goal every two games for his first club Barton Rovers.

Are we allowed to pad this out with vaguely Bolton Wanderers-related stuff? Well, we are. Marcos Alonso is at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground ahead of a rumoured-£24 million deal according to Football Italia. In fairness, he started to look promising in our first season in the Championship, and his career has taken off at Fiorentina. Hopefully his career won’t crash back in England…

Keshi Anderson has also been linked with MK Dons. You know it will happen. He signs for the Dons, and then scores the winner against us a week on Saturday. You just know it. I nearly moved to Milton Keynes last year. The place just has no soul. It’s just concrete. Perhaps more concrete than Mark Beevers.

Here we go then. South London local media reporting a Crystal Palace striker is coming our way. We’ve a rich history of Palace loanees. Do you remember Owen Garvan?

London News Online report: “Crystal Palace striker Keshi Anderson is set to sign on loan for Bolton.

The 21-year-old, who has been involved with the first-team in pre-season and since the Premier League campaign started, looks set to pen a new two-year contract with the Eagles.”

Never heard of him. I’m sure someone will have claimed to know everything about him.

Phil Parkinson has said he wants a minimum of four players to take him through to January. I think you’re being a bit overambitious son. First rumour of the day, is Thomas Sorensen is back in the UK and could be interested in a player coach role. I’m calling nonsense on that

Today is the final day where Wanderers can do business in the transfer window. We’re still under an embargo. Slow clap to the board for that.

The three pressing positions are: backup goalkeeper after Ben Amos was loaned out last Friday, a midfielder in Mark Davies’ absence, who is now out for the season. A goalscorer would be nice, but at 1.6 goals a game we’re doing alright going forward so far.

Transfer rumours of mixed credibility have included:

Gedion Zelalem: US midfielder who Arsenal are looking to loan out. He played for Rangers last season as they were promoted to the Scottish Premiership.

Tom Hateley: Currently playing in Poland with Slask Wroclaw. Former Motherwell midfielder and son of ex Rangers and AC Milan striker Mark.

Federico Macheda: Scored that goal for Manchester United against Villa in 2009 and has done nothing since. Left Cardiff City yesterday
