Reports are now suggesting that Neil Lennon could be looking to Filipe Morais as a target for Bolton Wanderers as his contract with Bradford City expires at the end of the month.

The 29 year old winger signed a short term contract for Phil Parkinson this Summer, following a successful trial, and has also attracted the interest of Sheffield Wednesday.

Morais is capped for his native Portugal at U21 level and is a product of the Chelsea youth academy, which has produced terrific talents in the past such as…um…

He left Chelsea at the age of 20, despite being offered a new club and went on to enojy somewhat of a journeyman career- representing Millwall, Hibernian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, St Johnstone, Oldham Athletic and Stevenage before joining The Bantams.

At 29 years old, Morais is pretty much at the peak of his career, which hasn’t really seen him play at a very high level.

I could see this signing turning into somewhat of another ‘Andre Moritz’, except that Moritz did have past Championship promotion experience.

He certainly has the skills of the Brazilian, now plying his trade for Mumbai City and the Pohang Steelers of South Korea.

He’s clearly not BAD, and we do need more attacking options. He’d also be free, though is he really what we need?
