Gaps In The Spine for Bolton v Orient

|

After no midweek match, Bolton dropped down to a nervy 19th ahead of the weekend’s match against Leyton Orient.

Ian Evatt was also handed yet another injury setback, with Antoni Sarcevic being unavailable for the next few weeks. With Kieran Lee probably not fit yet, it could leave us a bit short in midfield.

Another issue will be at the back – Ryan Delaney is unavailable, so it remains to be seen who gets to partner Ricardo Santos in defence.

Orient will be one of those teams that hopefully the players will be particularly wanting to exact revenge on, after October’s 4-0 defeat at Brisbane Road.

Our last home game against Orient in the league came when we beat them in 1993 – we did since play out a 4-4 draw in the League Cup in 1997, where we progressed over two legs.

As for what happens tomorrow, again it’s another one that’s difficult to predict. The less said about us the better, but while Leyton Orient are in a better position as for making the play-offs, their recent away form isn’t too great, with only one win out of their last five on the road.

I’ll go for a 1-1 prediction.
