Have Bolton Seen Off Another Manager?

‘Sacked in the morning, you`re getting sacked in the morning.`

The words came from Bolton fans, who are always less than sympathetic when faced with a manager on the brink. They had great fun singing it to Graeme Souness as his Newcastle team went down 2-0 at the Reebok three seasons ago. Old sour puss lasted a few weeks longer, but poor Alan Pardew had a mere 48 hours left in the job after Wanderers thumped West Ham 4-0 the year after.

A similar job was done on Kevin Keegan, in the dying days of his tenure at Manchester City. A 1-0 win for the Whites at Eastlands was enough to see off football`s most prolific quitter. Now it seems they`ve done it again with Roy Keane. It`s yet to be confirmed, but there are strong rumours that he`s parted company with Sunderland.

This is a shame. It would have been great to see him relegate them.
