Injury Ravaged Bolton Travel to Bristol Rovers

|

Bolton face the first of two away games in the space of just a few days tomorrow when they travel down to Bristol Rovers.

Wanderers are still looking for their first win this season, and in fact their first league point. It looks as if they’ll have to do it with a few injury problems to contend with as well. Great.

Team news

Jack Hobbs’ back problem is likely to keep him out, while Sonny Graham and Thibaud Verlinden picked up injuries during Saturday’s defeat to Rochdale which make their involvement doubtful. That’s three more injuries to add to the long list…

For Bristol Rovers, Liam Sercombe could be back after a strain, Jonson-Clarke Harris and Tareiq Holmes-Dennis are nearing returns, while midfielder Ollie Clarke has recently returned to the side after a hamstring injury. Mark Little, once one of ours, has also recently recovered from an injury.

Stats and facts

Bolton’s last trip to the Memorial Ground ended in a win, a 2-1 victory in August 2016. Josh Vela and Jay Spearing scored first half goals that night.

Bolton are looking for a first away win, or league point for that matter, since March’s win at QPR.

We could be 24 points adrift of safety with a disastrous set of results tomorrow. That’s probably a club record. Obviously we all know why.

Prediction

We look bare at the back, can see this being a 2-0 defeat.
