Bolton defender Jlloyd Samuel explains why old friendships will have to take a back seat when he lines up against Aston Villa this weekend.
‘Gareth (Barry) and Luke (Moore) are probably my best mates at Villa and we’ve been having a bit of banter already about the game, on the text and stuff. They’re looking forward to taking me on and I want to keep them out of the game as much as possible. Our friendship will have to take a back seat for 90 minutes.
‘I’ve got nothing to prove to Aston Villa and there’s no feeling of having to show them what they’re missing out on. For me it’s all about just being able to play again and do well for Bolton.’
