Ben Amos has literally been with Man United since he was a kid but after 13-years at Old Trafford he’ll move on this summer having confirmed that he’s got to put his career first and, as difficult a decision as it was, this means moving on.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season he’s told the Bolton News that it’s time for him to move on with his career and prove that there’s ‘a future after United.’

As his own career will suffer if he doesn’t move on, something he admits he probably would have done already but for the fact that he’s a Man United fan, the time has come for this to happen.

With Amos being 24 he can leave without a fee involved so could a permanent arrival at the Macron Stadium be on? With doubts over Adam Bogdan and Andy Lonergan’s long-term futures, and Neil Lennon suggesting this could be on, maybe this may be the case?

Not that he’s in a hurry to make a decision as he wants to ‘keep his options open’ with a ‘silly rush’ not something he wants to do, but isn’t ruling out staying if he gets the chance.

‘I think Bolton is a great club, ex-Premier League, looking forward I’m sure the club has ambition to get back there.

‘I won’t rule anything out but I want somewhere I have a realistic chance of playing. There are no guarantees anywhere, I know that, but I need to be playing football.

‘I’ve extended here at Bolton for another month and I don’t know what the manager’s plans are but I’ll do my best.’

What do you think? Would you:-

(a) Like Amos to sign permanently and
(b) Do you think this could happen?
