Linking It All Together

Injuries have limited Andre Moritz’s impact at Bolton since his summer arrival, with him playing just nine times for the club.

The midfielder certainly showed himself in his best light at the weekend with his performance being pivotal in the 3-0 win over Doncaster.

He scored one and created another with his contribution heralded as “the missing link” that brings everything together for the club by Dougie Freedman in the wake of the clubs biggest winning margin of the season.

Freedman told BBC Radio Manchester: ‘We have been missing what he brings.

‘Moritz linked it all together – linked the midfield to attack and was very composed. I know how good he is, and we’ve only got glimpses so far.

‘Andre, for me, was a level above anything I’ve seen – his composure and the way he set people up.’

Moritz was known to Freedman before his arrival as the pair worked together previously at Palace, so he knew what he could do but only glimpses had been seen since his summer arrival, injuries often can’t be helped mind!

The benchmark has been set so that level of performance, and influence on a game, will be wanted on a regular basis from now on.

Will he deliver though?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
