Bolton Wanderers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Mark Little in the three one victory over Barnsley at the weekend at the Macron Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Little was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Gary Madine struck twice during Bolton`s 3-1 win to earn EFL Star of the Day, but we`ve opted for Little as the club`s representative in our selection after a breathtaking attacking display. The rampaging right-back put the first on a plate for the Trotters` striker, and he rounded off a Man of the Match performance with a fine solo strike ? his first for the club.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Little for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Ben Davies (Preston North End), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Mark Little (Bolton Wanderers), Sergi Canos (Brentford), George Thorne (Derby County), Callum Connolly (Ipswich Town), Mo Barrow (Reading), Lee Gregory (Millwall), Gary Hooper (Sheffield Wednesday), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
