Gary Madine has signed a deal at Bolton to keep him at the club until summer 2019.
Madine’s target man role proved to be an integral part of how we played last season, not winning a single game in the league that he didn’t start in.
He had been out of contract but becomes the third player to sign a deal, following the permanent signings of Jem Karacan and Andy Taylor.
“Gary had a good season last year and I`m pleased we`ve agreed a deal,’ Phil Parkinson told the club’s official site.
“Between us, we have a clear action plan to take his game onto another level.
While it’s a welcome move, I feel we’ll need another forward. Madine aside, the only other senior option is Jamie Proctor. That is something that will have to be adressed hugely ahead of a return to the Championship.
