We look to put a run of poor form, more worryingly defensive frailties, behind us at Middlesbrough – they’ll be keen to react to the defeat against Leeds on Saturday though as we head to the Riverside Stadium.
Middlesbrough have veteran ‘keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos (suspension) back after he missed the Leeds defeat but Tomas Mejias could keep his place? Ryan Fredericks (ankle) and Muzzy Carayol (cruciate ligament damage) could be involved but Jelle Vossen(concussion) is out.
The Bolton injury list continues to grow! It got to the point where Emile Heskey had to play in defence on Saturday.
Tim Ream (back) and Andy Lonergan (concussion) definitely miss out after going off on stretchers against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Matt Mills (suspension) had a one-match ban to serve after his sending off but Filip Twardzik (back) is expected to be fit.
Craig Davies (hamstring), Mark Davies (knee), Darren Pratley (hamstring), Adam Bogdan (ankle), Max Clayton (knee) and Liam Trotter (thigh) all sit out.
