Milan Baros : Another Scary Story

After Louis Saha (crock) and Nikola Zigic (big and useless) the hat-trick of strikers that Bolton shouldn`t touch with a barge-pole has been completed today, with a rumour circulating about Milan Baros (less big, equally useless) who is reportedly available for anyone with £4.5 million to waste.

Baros was the top scorer at Euro 2004 and arguably the tournament`s best player, but since then his most notable achievements have been dropping and damaging the Champions League trophy that Liverpool won in 2005, being suspended for making offensive gestures at an opponent whilst playing for Lyon and making an attempt on the world land speed record when driving his Ferrari on the freeway between Lyon and Geneva. He clocked 168 mph, the fastest speed ever recorded in the region and the first time that Baros has ever done something better than everyone else. The French plods did the only sensible thing and confiscated his car.

Baros continued his record of failure when on loan at Portsmouth. How many goals did he score? A clue: It`s the roundest number in existence and it`s not very many. Bolton already have a number of strikers who, when armed with a banjo, would present no danger to a cow`s hind quarters. There`s really no need to sign another one.
